80% of what we learn is through our eyes...
As many as one in five school-aged children have an undiagnosed vision problem that could interfere with their ability to learn. Common eye conditions such as, lazy eye (ambylopia) and squint (strabismus) are treatable if they are identified and treated early, the sooner vision problems are detected, the better the outcome. Children don’t have to know their letters to have their eyes checked. It is possible to see whether the child has a squint, or needs glasses, by using age appropriate techniques . Eye examinations do not hurt and are made fun and interactive for children. At glasseslab we recommend all children have their first eye test at between 3 to 4 years of age. Children under 16 are entitled to a free NHS eye test. Ask in store for more details. |
